THE new name for the home of Darlington Football Club was proudly displayed for all to see last night.

The Williamson Motors Stadium sign was erected on the south stand of the venue in Neasham Road.

The impressive logo is part of the sponsorship deal struck earlier this year between the Quakers and the local Peugeot dealership.

It was put up over the course of Thursday and yesterday, to the delight of club bosses.

Chief executive Andy Battison said: "We had a few designs, but we're really happy with this one - it looks great."

The Williamson Motors Stadium name replaced the Reynolds Arena after the Sterling Consortium took charge of the club in May.
