BESPOKE software that is helping a North-East plastics company to pursue its expansion plans is to be made available to manufacturers.
JobTrack Professional, a management system software package, was written for Venture Plastics Limited, a plastics injection moulding company based at Teesside Industrial Estate, in Thornaby, near Stockton.
It has proved so effective that it has become a key business tool for Venture, which mainly makes products for the automotive industry.
"Prior to JobTrack, our management system was entirely manual and paper-based, which, as you would imagine, was very laborious and time-consuming. JobTrack enables us to effectively manage all our documentation in a fraction of the time," said managing director Ian Hall.
JobTrack was developed by IT Solutions, of Stockton, which has announced it is to market the software package as an "off-the-shelf" product.
IT Solutions, run by Stephen Wales, a former IBM applications developer, specialises in providing custom-designed and written software for businesses.
Venture commissioned JobTrack as part of a £10,000 investment in information technology, aided by a technology support grant from Stockton Borough Council.
