THE latest adventures of Dad At Large have been compiled in a new book, which will raise money for a children's hospice.

Dad At Large 3 - Whose Paper Round Is It Anyway? is the third book based on the popular column written by Peter Barron in The Northern Echo.

It highlights the trials, tribulations, and fun involved in being a dad and features anecdotes from around the region.

It will again generate valuable funds for the Butterwick Children's Hospice, at Stockton, with £1 being donated to the charity for every book sold.

Mary Butterwick, founder of the Butterwick Children's Hospice, said: "Dad At Large has raised thousands of pounds for the children's hospice in recent years and we are delighted that book three will be carrying on the good work.

"The book is all about the joy that children bring to the world and it is fitting that children should benefit as a result."

* Peter Barron, the editor of The Northern Echo, will be signing copies of the book at Ottakar's bookshop in the Cornmill Centre, Darlington, between 10am and 3pm tomorrow Sat 6th).

Dad At Large is also available for speaking engagements, with all fees also going to the Butterwick Children's Hospice. Call Sue Heath on (01325) 505107 for details.
