Barnard Castle: 11am, service at St Mary's Parish Church, followed by a parade at about 11.40am, with Barnard Castle Band and uniformed organisations, to the war memorial in the grounds of the Bowes Museum, where a further ceremony will take place.

Bishop Auckland: 11am, Service of Remembrance and Recognition at the War Memorial followed by worship in St Anne's Church.

Crook: 2pm, parade starts outside the Health Centre, in Hope Street, and arrives at St Catherine's Church for a service at 2.30pm.

Gateshead: 11am Thursday, service at Gateshead MetroCentre.

Newcastle: 10am, Lord Mayor Councillor George Douglas places wreaths at memorials near the Civic Centre, including the Renwick War Monument, The Burma Star Memorial, The Memorial to the Royal Regiment of Fusiliers and the South African War Memorial, followed at 11am by commemorations at service at Old Eldon Square. Salute will be taken at Grey's Monument.
