FOUR people were taken to hospital with whiplash and minor injuries after a car crash outside Darlington police station on Saturday.

A Nissan Micra and a Seat Ibiza collided in St Cuthbert's Way shortly before noon. The driver and passenger in both vehicles were taken to Darlington Memorial Hospital.

Shortly before 1pm on Saturday, another person was taken to hospital with minor injuries after a two-car crash at the junction of North Road and Thompson Street West.

An ambulance attended an accident outside Matalan, in Neasham Road, after a man was hit by a car at 11.37am on Saturday. Police said he suffered minor injuries but did not need hospital treatment.

There was a collision between a bus and car outside the Nag's Head pub, in Tubwell Row, at 1.38pm, also on Saturday. No one was injured.

At 12.29pm, again on Saturday, there was a two-car smash on the A68 roundabout off the A1. No one was hurt.
