Stokesley and Darlington RA still share top position after the game between the two ended level at 1-1. It was the visitors Stokesley who made the first impression when Ian Bramley found the net after 30 minutes. RA pressed for an equaliser but this was a long time coming.

It was Lee Johnson who hit the vital goal late on to keep the sides level pegging but with Darlington due to play their game in hand on Wednesday they would move three points ahead if they beat Annfield Plain.

Ferryhill lost out 2-1 when they entertained Jarrow who had a two-goal lead until late in the game. The Ferryhill defense hesitated in the 53rd minute and Dean Patton took advantage and then Mark Lally put Jarrow two ahead.

With just two minutes remaining Tony Stafford hit Ferryhill's consolation but they remain near the basement.

Cleaton SC continued their winning form, this time neighbours Harton & Westoe were their victims. Mark Johnson set them on their way by scoring after just three minutes. However the game was only settled in the final minute when Gary Effard made it 2-0.

New Marske were always second best against Annfield Plain. They fell behind after just 8 minutes when Gareth Nelson scored. Before the break Lee Tweedy and Tony Quinn were also on the scoresheet and Quinn picked up his second late in the game.

Shotton Comrades suffered a 6-0 reversal at home to Cleator Moor Celtic.

Birtley Town were unable to contain Washington Nissan in the Durham Challenge Cup. A first half hat-trick by Gavin Cogden set the Albany Northern League side on their way. Further goals from Ian Matthews, Anthony Lund, David Tate and Jonathon Constantine made up the 7-0 triumph.

Wolviston collected a point at Whitehaven. The Cumbrians took the lead through Matthew Williams however a header from Dean Moore salvaged a 1-1 draw.

Sport Catterick lost interest in the Wearside League Cup when they went down 2-1 at Boldon CA.

Michael Meek was the Boldon match-winner. He netted early in the game but Martin Butler equalised. However Meek's winner put his side into the next round.
