* HARTLEPOOL accountants Howarth Clark Whitehill (HCW) has appointed RACHEL McGHEE as tax assistant.
The 22-year-old, from Redcar, in east Cleveland, joins HCW from Vantis, in Middlesbrough, where she was part of the business services team. She will be preparing and processing returns and personal tax forms.
HCW, which is based in Victoria Road, employs ten people in its tax department.
Senior partner Peter Olsen said: "We are always keen to expand our team with talented and motivated young people. Rachel is an enthusiastic person who, even at 22, brings with her relevant experience that will be of benefit to our firm."
