DARLINGTON manager David Hodgson may have had no qualms about the result on Saturday, but he was less than satisfied with the manner in which his side beat Leyton Orient 3-0, writes Lee Hall.

Quakers moved up to fifth in League Two after securing their third straight win against fellow promotion hopefuls Orient.

However, Hodgson believes there is still plenty of room for improvement as Quakers look to strengthen their position in the promotion places.

"In the first half we didn't dominate and keep control of the ball as well as we should," said Hodgson.

"At times it was a little bit messy and it's not always a good thing to score so early.

"Although they didn't hurt us as such, there were one or two scary moments.

"Once we scored that second goal I couldn't see them scoring three goals to beat us."

Even after seeing his side take a three-goal lead Hodgson felt they could have gone on to win by a bigger margin.

"When we were three-up I thought our players could have been more thoughtful instead of being selfish," said Hodgson.

"We could have had more goals, which always helps at the end of the season.

"There's more they can do and we know that."
