A SCOUT group has been given a boost towards its fundraising efforts to improve its Scout hut.
The 1st Richmond Scout Group received £500 from Richmond Round Table.
The group hopes to raise £30,000 towards renovations at the Ronaldshay Park facility. The building, which is used by more than 80 youngsters, needs new toilets, a main door and entrance ramp.
Work on the kitchen is nearly complete and soldiers from the Infantry Training Camp, in Catterick Garrison, helped paint the building, renew three flat roofs and install central heating.
Scout leader Mike McGarry said: "We are very grateful for this donation and it will help improve the facilities."
