PROPOSALS to build three detached homes in a large back garden have been approved.
At the Ripon area planning committee of Harrogate Borough Council, planning officer Mark Williams recommended outline approval for the development at Primrose House, Primrose Drive, in the city. Councillors voted 7-2 in favour.
Mr Williams said the site was in a conservation area but did not make a positive contribution to its character because of its secluded location.
The previous application was refused because the proposed access was too close to 12 Primrose Close. New plans had addressed the issue.
