PEOPLE are being given the chance to win shopping vouchers by taking part in Darlington Borough Council's kerbside recycling scheme, Time to Recycle.
The team will give away shopping vouchers worth £50 every week for six weeks, starting this month.
Householders selected at random will receive the vouchers if they have put out their recycling box and bags for collection.
Councillor Stephen Harker, cabinet member for consumer and environmental services, said: "Whilst the real rewards for recycling are longer term, this competition is an excellent chance for local people to receive an immediate reward for taking part in our recycling scheme."
