PUPILS from a Darlington primary school took to the streets last week as they prepared to move schools.
Staff and children from Alderman Leach Primary School took part in a practice school run to the school's new site at the West Park development, about a mile away.
The new school, which features electronic white boards, will open on Thursday, February 24. It will keep its name.
Headteacher Catherine Thompson said: "We did this dry run just to make sure there were no major problems with the route. We're very excited about the move.
"The new school looks marvellous and all the new resources there should make a big difference."
