The region's flagship music venue is aiming to live up to its promise of offering something for everyone, as it launches its own night club.
First Friday at The Sage Gateshead will feature live performances from the best leftfield dance music artists, along with resident DJs.
It will be held on the first Friday of every month, starting this weekend, with music from Etienne de Crecy, Alex Gopher and Julien Defauld. Future guests include The Bays and British hip-hop veteran Rodney P.
The doors open at 8pm. Tickets, priced £6, are available from The Sage box office on 0870 703 4555.
