GAINFORD parish council chairman, Coun Wendy Withers, will be in the spotlight on Monday when she appears on the television programme The Weakest Link.
The mother-of-six revealed that she did not have to take the "walk of shame" but viewers will have to tune in to find out how much she won. "It wasn't a record amount, but neither was it the lowest," she told the D&S Times.
She described the show's formidable presenter, Anne Robinson, as very professional and like a strict headmistress in her manner.
"She does insult contestants during the show and she picked on me about playing netball, but on the whole I think I got off quite lightly," she added.
The Weakest Link is broadcast on BBC2 at 5.15pm.
