A CONFERENCE for young people interested in becoming sports club volunteers in County Durham will be held on Thursday.
The event, which will take place at Ferryhill Leisure Centre, is an opportunity for the volunteers to pick up practical experience of issues they may face in their roles.
Up to 50 volunteers from Durham, the Wear Valley, Teesdale, Easington and Sedgefield will take part in the conference before going on to work in roles linked to sports clubs.
Many of the young people have achieved sports leadership awards.
