THE Diligentia Group, based in Hexham, has appointed security expert RICHARD SLATER as managing director of its new training division.
The Government's Private Security Industry Act 2001 requires that all security guards to be fully licensed and trained by the end of 2005 and Diligentia Training Ltd is helping to train the security workforce in time.
Diligentia will provide training to its established client base and the security and leisure industries across the country via its training facilities in Newcastle, London and Bristol, and recently opened branches in Birmingham and Liverpool.
Mr Slater has a security and training background with 25 years' experience.
He began his career in law enforcement as a police officer in London and later worked as an economy and trade investigator with the government of the Republic of Zambia.
The Diligentia Group also provides corporate and commercial investigation, research and security facilities internationally.
