Work to improve major highways in the region gets under way tomorrow.
The project will see the closure of a stretch of Ryhope Street, Sunderland, between Burdon Lane and Shaftesbury Avenue, for three consecutive Sundays, between 8am and 6pm.
Alternative routes will be signposted via Bevan Avenue and Burdon Lane, with similar diversions for Ryhope Village, Ryhope Road and Leechmere Way.
Limited access will be maintained for business and residential traffic, where possible.
