STUDENTS took part in a careers event yesterday.
Brierton School, in Hartlepool, hosted the day-long event, which invited year 9 pupils and their parents along to explore the education and career choices available.
The careers day was the first of its kind at a Hartlepool school, and teachers from the town's other schools were also invited.
Organisations running workshops at the event included the Construction Industry Training Board, Hartlepool United Enterprise Academy and the Army.
