TEACHING practices at a nursery have been billed as an example of good practice for the rest of the country.
Staff at Crook Primary were celebrating yesterday when a glowing Ofsted report congratulated them as being an example of outstanding practice.
Hilary Armstrong, Government Chief Whip, visited the school and spoke to some of the pupils, who have been praised by school inspectors for their achievements in computers. The MP for North-West Durham said: "This report is a real validation of the work that is going on here.
"There are not many nurseries that have been using technology like this and the report shows how beneficial it can be for the children."
The report said teaching at the nursery was "blended and the resultant curriculum and best practice is an example for the rest of the nation".
Headteacher Carol Ward said: "It is an accolade for all."
