A STUDENTS' charity is warning that the deadline is approaching for applications for grants this year.
During the past year, Durham University Charities Kommittee (Duck) has raised thousands of pounds with a variety of events, ranging from Stars In Their Eyes nights to slave auctions.
Last year, students donated £150,000 to charities and good causes and Duck expects to top that record figure this year.
The organisation supports local groups and charities, with particular emphasis on those which are linked to Durham.
Applications for grants must be received at the Duck Office, Dunelm House, New Elvet, Durham City, DH1 3AN no later than March 15.
Forms are available from www.duck.dsu.org.uk or by phoning 0191-334 1797.
