A PHOTOGRAPHIC history of the past 50 years of life in Durham City will be exposed to library-goers next weekend.
Photographer Janet Thackray will present a slide show entitled Durham Old and New at the city's Clayport Library on Saturday, March 12.
Mrs Thackray, a guide at Durham Cathedral, has lived in the city all her life and has been a member of Durham Photographic Society for the past 40 years. She has documented the changing face of the city, particularly the buildings which have been demolished and replaced.
The event starts at 2pm, tickets are £2 from the library on 0191-386 4003.
