YOUNGSTERS got to grips with the first signs of spring in Darlington yesterday.
An exploration table was set up for children at the town hall's Kids and Co Nursery, allowing them to study a range of seasonal items.
As part of an ongoing topic of studying the seasons, they were given magnifying glasses to get a closer look at flowers, plastic insects and traditional features of spring.
A nursery spokeswoman said: "It was all part of efforts to help the children understand the world around them.
