POLICE in Peterlee are appealing for a teenager missing from home since Monday night to contact his family to let them know he is safe.
Fifteen-year-old Dean Peacock was last seen by his parents at the home he shares with them in Hawthorne Crescent, Horden, at about 8.30pm.
The youngster, who has a plaster cast on his broken right ankle is described as being 6ft, thin, with pale spotty complexion, brown eyes and dyed blonde hair.
He was wearing a light-blue woollen hat, navy jogger bottoms, a grey Berhaus jacket and a specialist shoe to support his plaster cast.
PC Helen Richardson said Dean's family were very concerned for his well-being and urged him to make contact with them.
"We have checked locally with some of Dean's friends, but our inquiries have so far drawn a blank,'' said PC Richardson.
Anyone with information regarding Dean's whearabouts is asked to contact police on 0845 6060365.
