A YOUNG woman was killed in a crash when her car left the A1 motorway
The 19-year-old, of Stanley, County Durham, died of her injuries after the smash, near Chester-le-Street, at 9.25pm on Monday.
The accident happened at Blind Lane Interchange, at junction 63, which was closed for four hours while police recovered the vehicle.
Durham Constabulary have not released her identity because her relatives have not all been informed.
