THE Darlington branch of an international business group is celebrating its 3,000th referral.
The Blackwell Chapter of Business Network International (BNI), which meets at the New Grange Hotel, has been active for two years.
BNI, which has 72,000 members across the world, encourages networking and referrals. Members of a group carry the other members' business cards with them.
When they meet someone that could use products or services from the group, they recommend their fellow members. BNI estimates membership is worth about £26,000 in business terms.
