Witton Gilbert : THE president Mrs Thompson welcomed 32 members and two visitors to the February meeting.
The speaker John Geddes gave an interesting talk with accompanying video entitled The Unbelievable Treasures of Witton Gilbert.
The group meeting, to be held on April 28 in Cooper Hall, will feature a talk and demonstration by Ladies in Pigs, the tickets are now available.
L Jackson was congratulated on her efforts for the roof appeal by selling chocolates, which raised £205. There will be a craft demonstration with pie and peas supper at Cooper Hall, on March 22, in aid if the roof fund.
The competition, a handmade Valentine card was won by D Bilton, J Geddes and B Minns. M Burt gave the Golden Thread.
C Thompson announced a social evening at her home Sherburn House in aid of St Cuthbert's Hospice on March 16.
C Liddle served her home-made soup for a donation to this year's charity Air ambulance.
