AT the age of 13 months, Louie already has a catalogue of show victories to his name.
Yesterday, the young Bedlington terrier had an exciting day in the ring when he appeared in the most prestigious event on the canine calendar, the Crufts championship.
He was following the pawprints of his father and two grandfathers, who won best in breed trophies.
More 23,000 dogs, 200 breeds, will appear at Birmingham NEC this week and owner Linda Bussey, from Spennymoor, is confident that Louie will impress the judges.
The youngster, whose pedigree name is Winfell Reward of De-Bussey, has won 15 open shows and three puppy championships in the North-East.
Mrs Bussey said: "I have been to every Crufts for about ten years, mainly with Bedlingtons but originally poodles.
"Louie is a beautiful terrier. We are feeling confident, I'd love him to win his class."
