The small light aircraft crash landed in a field at Ingleby Cross, near Northallerton, before hitting a hedge when the nose wheel collapsed. The pilot and his passenger escaped uninjured.

An accident investigation report in to the incident, on July 27 last year at 3.45pm, has been released to the public.

The aircraft was being flown from Bournemouth to Durham Tees Valley Airport on a navigation exercise when the engine started to run roughly before losing all power.
