A LIGHTED candle was carried on a 20-mile walk as part of preparations for Easter at the weekend.
About 30 people of all ages took part in the spiritual event, calling in at Roman Catholic churches and schools at Staithes, Loftus, Brotton, Saltburn, Marske, Redcar and Guisborough.
Short services were held at the 14 ports of call.
Kevin Mitchell, of Redcar's Sacred Heart School, said: "The event symbolised unity in our pastoral area."
