POLICE carried out simultaneous operations to target alcohol-related violence at the weekend.
Officers from the Cleveland force went on patrols at 7pm on Friday and Saturday, targeting 71 premises in Eston, Grangetown, Loftus, Guisborough and Redcar. As part of Operation Nightsafe, 15 arrests were made.
A man was arrested at the Aruba nightclub in Redcar following a glassing incident and three people were found in possession of drugs.
Further arrests were made in the three districts.
