THREE talented young tennis players have been selected for extra coaching.
Nine-year-old Foster Garton, Henry Chadwick, 11, and Michael Howe, nine, all attend Kirkby and Great Broughton School, near Stokesley.
They were picked from hundreds of children by the Lawn Tennis Association for additional coaching at Tennis World, in Middlesbrough.
Jean Yendall, the youngsters' headteacher, said: "We are all very proud of the boys. I am sure they will benefit greatly from Lawn Tennis Association coaching and we wish them every success."
Councillor Chris Metcalfe, North Yorkshire County Council's executive member for education, said: "We have been told this is the only school in the North-East to have three pupils picked by the Lawn Tennis Association. This is a great achievement for the pupils and the school.
