The Heighington Parish Litter Group wants people to support its next litter pick on Saturday, April 9.
About 20 people, including scouts and cubs, took part in a litter pick earlier this month, collecting 60 bags of rubbish from Heighington and Redworth. Secretary Kit Bartram said: "We have invited the pre-school children in the parish to design an anti-litter poster, and we are also planning an anti-litter slogan competition."
The group will also contact takeaway shops to ask them to encourage their customers to dispose of litter responsibly.
For details about the litter pick, contact chairman Peter Smyth on (01325) 312123 or Mr Bartram on (01325) 312270.
