A COUNCIL has been given an award for its work in health and social care.
Stockton Borough Council was given a Beacon Status award, a national honour that means the town will share best practise with other winners across the country for the next 12 months.
Councillor Ann McCoy said: "This is wonderful news and shows the progressive work being carried out in Stockton."
