Tow Law's chances of avoiding relegation have been hit by the news that they might have to play all their remaining home games away from Ironworks Road.

Lawyers are at Guisborough today in a crucial basement clash, but their scheduled home games in the immediate future will be played at neighbours Esh Winning because of the problems in their goalmouth.

Chairman Harry Hodgson said: "We're having an horrendous season, and we're grateful to Esh for allowing us to use their ground.

"The water just isn't going away in our goalmouth, it's like stepping on a sponge in the affected part. The Coal Board have told us that they're going to drill holes there to allow the water to drain away.

"Financially, playing games away from home is a blow to us, because we rely heavily on the income from the clubhouse.

"The league have told us that we can't afford to have any more games postponed, and I can understand that." Lawyers will be without midfielder Stuart Niven because of suspension, while defender Andy Armstrong and striker Lee Innes are both injured.

Guisborough are expected to be close to full strength.

Brandon need to win their last home game of the season against Morpeth to give themselves some breathing space in the relegation fight.

James Winter and David Foley are still away with Hartlepool in America, while Ben Wickling and Neil Charlton are unavailable. Aaron Scott, David Fort and Kevin Hamilton all return.

Brandon are eight points above third bottom spot, currently occupied by Peterlee, who are at league leaders Dunston.

Peterlee include two new signings, Damien Maxwell and Ross Paxton, but defenders Darryl Evans and Steve Ritchie are suspended.

Dunston are one point clear of Billingham Synthonia, but they have four games in hand. Defender Steve Holmes returns.

West Auckland will almost be safe from the drop if they beat Durham City at Darlington Road.

Defender Paul Stout is unavailable, but skipper Brian Fairhurst returns, as well as midfielder Chris Gillespie.

City are missing defender Justin Keegan and striker Robbie Herbert, but defender John Watson returns.

Horden are hoping that midfielders Jason Ainsley and Martin O'Riordan will be fit for their home game with Chester-le-Street, but they've been hit by the loss of defender Luke Allen who is unavailable. Chester recall four players, but leading scorer Phil Bell is missing because of injury.

In the second division, bottom club Willington's future could be decided when they play third bottom Hebburn at Hall Lane.

Willington are 11 points behind today's opponents, but face relegation if the grounds of the promoted clubs from the feeder leagues are up to standard. Wayne Van Hughf, Kevin Wilson and brothers Sean and Michael Joseph return.

Second bottom Easington, unbeaten in their last three matches, are at home to Kennek Ryhope CA.

Leaders Northallerton host West Allotment, five points behind them with three games in hand.

Midfielder Steve Cochrane is suspended for Northallerton, and defender Craig Winter is injured, but defender Stuart Jackson is expected to pass a fitness test.

Washington Nissan, who are second, face Evenwood, who haven't won in six league games.

Nissan include new keeper Paul Pringle, signed from Horden. Defenders Graham Ash and Paul Moss return. Evenwood have a doubt over keeper Mark Bell.

Newcastle Blue Star are at home to Norton, and include new signings Kevin Gustard from Benfield and Stephen Buzzeo from Gateshead. Norton welcome back Graeme Baverstock and David Abel.

Prudhoe, are at North Shields, while Crook travel to Seaham Red Star without Ray Stanger, Les Langley and Neil Shotton. Washington host Penrith.
