CHILDREN and adults are preparing to stage a colourful musical production which tells the story of an inventor who can make dreams come true.
The show by St Teresa's Parish Productions (Stepps), in Harris Street, Darlington, is called The Magnificent Dream Machine. The cast of 25 ranges from children as young as seven, to pensioners. It has a traditional good versus evil theme and should appeal to the whole family.
Stepps have been rehearsing every Friday night since the beginning of January.
The musical has been written by Mike Carter, who is a playwright based in Sussex.
Angela Cox, director of Stepps, said: "It is an excellent show, with really good music and catchy songs, there is something for all ages to enjoy."
The production takes place from Wednesday to Saturday at St Teresa's school hall. Tickets are £5 adults, £4 concessions, and family tickets for two adults and two children can be obtained for £16. Call (01325) 374962.
