A CHARITY is looking for a volunteer to be its future figurehead in County Durham.
The County Commander of the Durham branch of St John Ambulance is due to retire in three years and the organisation is looking for a volunteer to act as his deputy and eventually take over the job.
The leader of the organisation oversees the management of the branch and promotes its work as the leading provider of first aid support and training in the county.
The post would suit a person with a background in senior management, with diplomatic and inter-personal skills.
Expenses are paid and the post would demand about two days per week, and some evening and weekend work.
Applicants should write, enclosing a CV to: Mrs SB Davies, St John Ambulance, St John's Road, Meadowfield, Durham City, DH7 8TZ.
