MAJOR repairs at a shopping centre's multi-storey car park will affect some of the 20,000 drivers who use it every week, it has been warned.

The work to repair concrete decking at Castlegate Shopping Centre's car park in Stockton starts on Monday, April 25.

The £50,000 project will continue for up to 12 weeks and will involve a phased programme of repairs on six of the eight floors of the centre's 427-space car park.

"While we will obviously try to avoid it, some disruption is bound to take place as nearly 20,000 cars use the multi-storey car park every week," said John Clift, Castlegate's Centre Manager.
