Middlesbrough-based IT company Clear Digital Solutions has appointed STEPHEN CALVERT as director of development.
He will be responsible for managing Clear's software development team, which provides software solutions for specific needs.
He joins from Flowers Direct, the UK's first online florist, and Gifting Direct, where he was head of information communications and development.
While at Flowers, he developed a new Internet shopping cart and production software programme, which enabled the company to carry out more than 2,000 orders a day.
"I am delighted to welcome someone with Stephen's expertise and experience to the team," said Clear's managing director, Richard Ginger. "He will play a key role in our efforts to expand our customer base."
