PEOPLE in Darlington are being encouraged to turn off their televisions and enjoy the countryside.
The borough council's countryside team is staging a walk around Drinkfield Marsh nature reserve on Sunday, from 2.30pm to 4.30pm.
The event is being held in the run-up to International TV Turn-off Week.
Walkers can meet at the car park on Whessoe Road. For details, call (01325) 388648.
