THE Bishop of Durham, the Right Reverend Tom Wright is to conduct a confirmation service at St Michael's Church, Heighington, near Darlington, later this year.
The service, which is also for other churches in the area, is the first of its kind to be held in the village of Heighington for many years.
Confirmation is a rite by which young people can confirm the vows for made them when they are baptised.
For adults it is a way to affirm their sense of belonging to the Church of England.
