A RECRUITMENT agency, which has an office in Darlington, has been praised by the government for its approach in tackling workplace age discrimination.
Angel Human Resources, formerly known as LDS Recruitment, is based in Horsemarket.
It was given Age Positive Employer Champion status by the Age Positive Campaign by the Department for Work and Pensions.
Malcolm Bonas, who manages the Darlington office, said: "Just a handful of recruitment firms have been recognised in this way. At Angel, we believe it makes good business sense to employ people on the basis of their skills and knowledge, not their date of birth."
