A COMMUNITY minibus will soon be available to provide much-needed transport for seaside parishes.
The Coble Courier will serve the parishes of Roxby and Hinderwell, including the villages of Staithes, Cowbar, Runswick Bay and Boulby.
The bus is being operated by a management committee of local people and drivers are being trained.
Although it is primarily for the use of people living in the Roxby and Hinderwell parishes, other community groups can book the bus when it is not in use.
Regular trips to the cinema, shops and the library van are now being planned.
The minibus been funded by grants from the Countryside Agency, Scarborough Borough Council, Redcar and Cleveland Borough Council and Teesside Transport Partnership, among others.
It will be launched tomorrow, at Hinderwell Village Hall, by local councillor, William Tindall.
It can booked by calling (01947) 841382, from 10.30am to 2.30pm on a Monday, and (01947) 841678, from 10.30am to 2.30pm on a Friday.
