CONSTRUCTION company MMP has secured a £1.8m contract to design and build retail and leisure facilities in Seaham, County Durham.
The project will be completed in October. The development will comprise 10,000sq ft of retail units, a convenience store and a pub for residents in East Shore village, Seaham.
Owen Graham, construction director at MMP, in Newton Aycliffe, County Durham, said: "This development is an exciting one for East Shore residents as it will really give them the community facilities that they deserve."
In the past 12 months, MMP has also worked on a sports centre for Mill Hill School, in Sunderland, Spennymoor Leisure Centre and the Sage Gateshead.
