OUT-OF-CONTRACT Darlington winger Jason St Juste will consider his options over the next couple of weeks, according to the player's agent.

The 19-year-old will discuss his future with representative Ian Flanagan when he returns from holiday next week.

Despite reported interest from Southampton, Flanagan insisted at the weekend that St Juste is still some way off from deciding where he will be next season.

Quakers boss David Hodgson returns from holiday this week, when he will hope to persuade St Juste to remain at the Williamson Motors Stadium. However, Hodgson may have to concede that the lure of playing at a higher level may be too tempting to turn down for the Leeds-born winger.

"I don't quite know where he is going to go at the moment," admitted Flanagan. "He's going to make a decision when he comes back from holiday.

"Jason said he wanted a few weeks to think things through. He will be back in the country in another week or so and we will sit down, discuss his options and make a final decision with him then."

Hodgson will also hope to resolve the future of goalkeeper Sam Russell in the coming weeks. Russell is stalling over a new deal and Hodgson has already expressed concern that the 22-year-old is being unsettled by agents. Under the Bosman ruling, Russell would command a fee as he is under the age of 24.

Hodgson has also confirmed his interest in Swansea's Bishop Auckland-born striker Paul Connor.
