A LEAFLET is being produced warning residents how to cope with the effects of a long, hot summer.
Middlesbrough Council is considering action after a report warned that young children and up to 2,000 pensioners could be among those most at risk from heatwaves.
Daily checks and home visits will be stepped up once temperatures reach 28C, while four levels of alert will be introduced, if approved by the council on June 13/
