STAFF from an accountancy firm in Darlington have been praised for swapping their calculators for kennels as part of a national initiative.
Twelve employees from the town's PricewaterhouseCoopers office offered their support to the Dogs Trust, at Sadberge, during National Volunteer Week.
They constructed agility jumps, tents and tunnels, and also created a sand pit in one of the grass runs.
Centre manager Sue Embleton said: "It was fantastic that the volunteers from PricewaterhouseCoopers chose the Dogs Trust and we are so grateful for all the help they have given us.
"The great work they have done this week will be around for the dogs to enjoy for many years to come."
