JAZZ trumpet player Abram Wilson is to perform in Durham City next week as part of the city's annual Brass Festival.

The 29-year-old New Orleans-based musician - dubbed the Jazz Warrior - is regarded as one of the hottest trumpet players in the world, with influences from scat to ska.

The Abram Wilson Sextet performs on Wednesday in the Concert Room of the Durham University music department on Palace Green.
