AN evening of Italian music and food will raise money to help restore a former railway station.
Richmondshire Buildings Preservation Trust says tickets for Sunday's event are selling fast.
The Italian evening will be held at Richmond Station, which the trust hopes to transform into a leisure and commercial centre.
Live Baroque music will be performed by the Cleveland Chamber Orchestra, under the leadership of Tim Jackson, who lives in Richmond.
Visitors will receive a glass of Italian wine, anti-pasti and desserts. As dusk falls, the music will be accompanied by projected images of Italian art. The only other lighting will be candlelight.
Trust spokesman Jim Jack said: "This promises to be a unique, atmospheric evening.
"As well as offering people an evening of good music and food, it will be another step towards our target of £200,000 by the end of September."
The evening is the Jackson family's second significant contribution to the trust.
Mr Jackson's wife, Anna, who is organising the catering for Sunday's event, also organised an open gardens day at the end of June.
Tickets, costing £12, are available on the door, from Castle Hill Books or by calling (01748) 823635. Doors open at 8pm.
