Thanks to a £2,795 grant award to the Durham County Vintage Collectors Society, plans to hold a third Vintage Rally at Mainsforth Sports Complex has been given the green light.
The Vintage Rally has proven to be a fantastic weekend in the past two years for enthusiasts, residents and children. With over 150 vintage items expected this year, a craft marquee, stalls, children’s funfair rides, refreshments and a licensed bar it should be a very entertaining and successful weekend.
Allan Harley, Chair of the Durham County Vintage Collectors Society said, “I’m thrilled to have been awarded this funding which will help enormously in covering the costs associated with hosting the event. I would also like to thank County Durham Foundation for awarding the grant and Ferryhill Town Council for their assistance in the organisation and funding application for the event”.
This years’ event will take place on Saturday 19th & Sunday 20th June from 11am – 4.30pm at the Sports Complex. For further information contact Allan Harley on 01270 504392.
