A VICTIM was threatened and robbed of £50 after befriending another man on a night out in Hartlepool.
Police are appealing for witnesses following the crime on Sunday, June 5.
The two men returned to the victim’s home in Central Buildings on Church Street after a night out at The Studio on Whitby Street.
Shortly after arriving at the flat the thief became aggressive and produced a knife and a pair of dressmaker scissors before demanding money.
After being handed over £50 in cash, the suspect made off in an unknown direction at about 3.40am.
The suspect is described as white, with short, blonde or light coloured loose, curly hair, and was about 45 years old.
He was of stocky build and approximately 5ft 8in, wearing a dark leather jacket.
